Islamabad, August 18, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Russian Ambassador to Pakistan Albert Khorev on Tuesday and discussed the positive momentum in bilateral relations and prospects for further cooperation.
During the meeting, Dar welcomed the progress in Pakistan-Russia ties and stressed the importance of continued cooperation in key areas, as well as sustained high-level exchanges to further strengthen bilateral relations.
Regional developments also came under discussion.
The deputy prime minister reiterated Pakistan’s consistent position that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable means of resolving differences and promoting peace and stability in the region.
The meeting reflected the two countries’ continued engagement aimed at expanding bilateral cooperation and strengthening high-level contacts.
