Islamabad, August 18, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar received French Ambassador Nicolas Galey for a farewell call on Tuesday and appreciated his contribution to strengthening Pakistan-France relations.
Dar congratulated Ambassador Galey on the successful completion of his diplomatic assignment and acknowledged his efforts to further deepen bilateral ties between Pakistan and France.
The deputy prime minister stressed the need to expand bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest and highlighted the importance of sustained high-level exchanges, dialogue and engagement on bilateral and regional matters.
Ambassador Galey thanked the deputy prime minister and the Government of Pakistan for the support extended to him during his tenure in the country.
The meeting reflected the two countries’ commitment to maintaining close diplomatic engagement and further strengthening their longstanding bilateral relationship.
