London, August 30, 2026: Pakistan pace bowler Mohammad Abbas etched his name into Lord’s cricketing history on Sunday, becoming the latest Pakistani to feature on the prestigious Lord’s Honours Board after claiming a five-wicket haul in the second Test against England.
Abbas returned outstanding figures of 5/57 from 22 overs as England were bowled out for 208 in their second innings on the fourth day, setting Pakistan a daunting target of 389 runs in the three-match series.
The experienced seamer completed his five-wicket haul by dismissing Ollie Robinson for eight off 15 deliveries, including one boundary. The feat marked Abbas’ eighth five-wicket haul in Test cricket and added his name to an exclusive list of Pakistani bowlers who have achieved the distinction at the historic London venue.
Abbas had earlier removed Dan Lawrence, who top-scored for England with 54 off 70 deliveries, including seven fours and two sixes.
The Pakistan pacer then dismissed Robinson to complete his five-wicket haul after England had extended their second-innings lead beyond 350.
England’s final wicket fell when Josh Tongue was run out by former Pakistan captain Babar Azam after scoring 12, bringing the hosts’ innings to an end at 208.
Mohammad Ali and Khurram Shahzad supported Abbas with two wickets apiece.
Abbas joins illustrious list
With his five-wicket haul, Abbas became the eighth Pakistani bowler to have his name inscribed on the Lord’s Test Honours Board.
He joined some of Pakistan’s most celebrated bowlers, including Khan Mohammad, Fazal Mahmood, Asif Masood, Mudassar Nazar, Mohammad Asif, Mohammad Amir and Yasir Shah.

Abbas’ achievement came on a difficult day for Pakistan, however, as England’s strong second-innings position left the visitors facing a challenging fourth-innings chase.
