Islamabad, August 31, 2026: Romania and Pakistan have agreed to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in diplomacy, education, media and culture, with the two sides looking forward to signing a series of agreements between their respective institutions.
Romanian Ambassador to Pakistan Dan Stănescu said an annual reunion of Romanian heads of mission provided an opportunity to meet Pakistan’s Ambassador to Bucharest Ilyas Nizami and exchange views on ways to deepen bilateral relations.
In a social media post, Ambassador Stănescu said the two sides discussed the signing of important agreements between the diplomatic academies of Romania and Pakistan, along with arrangements covering education, press and culture.
Romania’s Director General for Global Affairs Călin Mitri also participated in the discussion and shared strategic guidance on further strengthening relations between the two countries.
The engagement reflected the shared commitment of Romania and Pakistan to expanding bilateral cooperation and developing stronger institutional links in diplomacy, education, media and cultural affairs.
