Riyadh, September 3,2026: Algeria’s Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of the National Community Abroad, Sofiane Chaib, along with Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups and Micro-Enterprises Noureddine Ouadah, held an expanded virtual meeting with members of the Algerian community residing in Saudi Arabia.
The meeting, organized by the Algerian Embassy in Riyadh and the Consulate General of Algeria in Jeddah, was part of a series of regular engagements with Algerian nationals living in the brotherly country.
The participants were briefed on the facilities and incentive mechanisms introduced by the Algerian government to support the contribution of nationals abroad to the country’s development. Particular focus was placed on mobilizing their expertise and skills in innovation, startups, entrepreneurship and other related fields.
Speaking on the occasion, Sofiane Chaib reiterated the central importance attached by Algeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its diplomatic and consular missions to supporting Algerian nationals abroad and strengthening their ties with their homeland.
He highlighted the government’s efforts to provide an enabling framework for project holders and Algerian entrepreneurs abroad, encouraging them to contribute actively to Algeria’s economic dynamism and development.
Minister Noureddine Ouadah outlined the major incentives and facilities introduced by the Algerian state to promote investment and entrepreneurship. He called on Algerian entrepreneurs, businesspeople and project holders residing in Saudi Arabia to take advantage of the promising opportunities offered by Algeria’s evolving business environment.
The meeting also featured a presentation on Algeria’s startup and entrepreneurship ecosystem, followed by substantive discussions with members of the Algerian community.
Participants expressed their continued interest and readiness to make an active contribution to Algeria’s national development process.
