Islamabad, September 4, 2026: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Friday conducted a fire safety mock drill at Parliament House to assess and strengthen emergency preparedness and response mechanisms in the event of a fire or other emergencies.
As part of the exercise, a simulated fire situation was created inside Parliament House to evaluate evacuation procedures, emergency response, communication with relevant authorities, rescue operations and other essential safety measures.
Officers and officials of Parliament House actively participated in the drill and extended full cooperation to CDA teams during the exercise.
The mock drill also provided an opportunity to review existing emergency arrangements and identify areas requiring further improvement to ensure a swift and coordinated response in the event of an actual emergency.
Officials said such exercises were aimed at enhancing institutional preparedness, strengthening safety systems and ensuring the protection of human lives while minimizing potential losses during emergencies.
