Jerusalem, September 28, 2026: Israeli media reported on Sunday that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made an unannounced one-day visit to the United Arab Emirates to meet President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Israeli television channels 12 and KAN, along with Haaretz and The Jerusalem Post, reported that Netanyahu travelled to the Gulf state for talks with the UAE president.
The Israeli prime minister’s office did not immediately comment on the reports.
Israel and the UAE formally established diplomatic relations in 2020 under the US-brokered Abraham Accords.
The reported visit comes amid continued tensions in the Middle East following the Israel-US war against Iran, which began in February this year.
