Islamabad, October 5, 2026: Japan has announced a digital logo design competition to mark the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Pakistan in 2027.
The competition aims to commemorate the milestone and celebrate the enduring friendship between the two countries by inviting citizens of Japan and Pakistan to submit original logo designs reflecting their friendship, partnership and close ties.
The winning design will be adopted as the official logo for the 75th anniversary and used for events and activities marking the occasion throughout 2027.
According to the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, participants of any age and residing anywhere in the world may submit an original design representing the anniversary. The deadline for submissions is October 23, 2026, while the result is expected to be announced on the ministry’s website in late December 2026.
Logo designs in JPEG, PDF or EPS format should be submitted by email with the subject line “Logo Entry” to the Southwest Asian Division of Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs at japanpakistan75@mofa.go.jp. Each submission must be accompanied by a separate explanation of approximately 80 words describing the design.
The ministry said submitted designs must be original, previously unpublished and must not infringe third-party copyrights.
Designs containing offensive, unlawful, politically or religiously promotional, culturally or socially insensitive, commercial or otherwise inappropriate content will be disqualified. The use of generative AI in logo designs is also prohibited.
