Islamabad, October 9,2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Friday congratulated Salman Sharif on his appointment as Pakistan’s ambassador-designate to Germany and emphasized the need to further strengthen bilateral relations, particularly in trade, investment and economic cooperation.
Salman Sharif called on the deputy prime minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where Dar highlighted the importance of expanding economic ties between Pakistan and Germany.
Dar also stressed that maintaining close engagement with the Pakistani diaspora in Germany, safeguarding their welfare and ensuring efficient consular services should remain key priorities for the Pakistani Embassy.
The deputy prime minister appreciated Sharif’s contributions during his previous assignment as joint secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office and wished him success in his new diplomatic role.
