Tashkent, October 16,2026: Today, New Tashkent, a city under construction near the capital of Uzbekistan, is one of the country’s largest and most strategically significant urban development projects. This ambitious construction initiative aims not only to create modern and comfortable living conditions for residents but also to enhance Uzbekistan’s economic potential, introduce innovative technologies, and establish an environmentally sustainable urban environment.

Construction of New Tashkent began three years ago, and the city is being developed as a modern, safe, and green urban centre. A total of 20,000 hectares of land has been allocated for the city, with projects worth a combined USD 50 billion planned for implementation across 6,000 hectares during the first phase. Particular emphasis is being placed on advanced technological solutions and green building standards.

As part of the project, 2,000 hectares of green spaces and 500 hectares of recreational parks will be created. In addition, plans envisage the construction of 150 million square metres of residential and non-residential floor space. These initiatives are designed to provide city residents with a healthy environment, comfortable living conditions, and opportunities for meaningful leisure and recreation.

Over the past period, construction and development works worth USD 2 billion have been carried out in New Tashkent. Key facilities, including residential buildings, universities, a library, and an amphitheatre, have been constructed. In addition, seven facilities with a total value of USD 1 billion have been commissioned. These include the first phase of the Sharq Bahori residential complex, road and infrastructure facilities, an electrical substation, a trigeneration plant, the building of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sohil Park, and a comprehensive school with a capacity of 2,000 students.

The significance of New Tashkent extends far beyond the construction of housing and modern buildings. In the future, it is expected to become an independent economic hub bringing together business, education, healthcare, tourism, and services. Achieving this goal will require support for entrepreneurial initiatives, effective investment attraction, and the timely provision of essential services to residents.

By the end of the year, 20,000 residential units are scheduled to be commissioned in the city. This will create a new living environment for at least 70,000 people. Accordingly, alongside residential developments, particular attention is being paid to the construction of educational institutions, healthcare facilities, sports centres, shopping facilities, and recreational areas. Furthermore, the construction of a 55,000-seat stadium meeting FIFA requirements will strengthen the city’s potential as a centre for sports and international events.

New Tashkent offers extensive opportunities for both domestic and foreign investors. In particular, there is considerable potential for implementing promising investment projects in modern residential complexes, retail and service facilities, educational and medical institutions, tourism, logistics, and innovative technologies. In this regard, we invite domestic and foreign entrepreneurs and investors to take an active part in the development of New Tashkent, establish mutually beneficial partnerships, and implement new investment projects by making effective use of the favourable business environment and modern infrastructure. This will not only open up new business opportunities for investors but also help strengthen the city’s economic potential, create new jobs, and improve the well-being of its residents.

Representatives of the Pakistani business community interested in implementing investment projects in New Tashkent can visit https://newtashkent.uz/ to obtain information about the investment lots that interest them. They may also send their questions and proposals to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Pakistan via email at uzbekembassy@gmail.com.

New Tashkent is not merely a collection of new buildings and residential complexes; it is an ambitious project that embodies Uzbekistan’s vision for future development.
