Rawalpindi, October 18,2026: Security forces have killed eight terrorists in three intelligence-based operations in Balochistan’s Quetta, Nushki and Khuzdar districts, recovering weapons, ammunition and 490 kilograms of explosives, the military’s media wing said on Sunday.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), five terrorists were killed when security forces thwarted an attempt by militants to establish a roadblock in the Panjpai area of Quetta district on October 17 to disrupt local traffic.
In a separate sanitisation operation in Nushki district, security forces raided a terrorist hideout and killed two militants following an intense exchange of fire. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the site.
In another intelligence-based operation in Khuzdar district, security forces targeted a terrorist hideout, killing one militant. A large quantity of explosives, weighing approximately 490 kilograms, was also recovered during the operation.
The ISPR described the militants as Indian-sponsored terrorists belonging to what it called Fitna al Hindustan.
Sanitisation operations are under way in the affected areas to eliminate any remaining militants, the statement added.
The military’s media wing said security forces and law enforcement agencies would continue their counterterrorism campaign under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam”, approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan, to eliminate foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country
