Dubai, October 21,2026: Pakistan have climbed to fourth place in the ICC Men’s ODI team rankings, overtaking Australia after consecutive victories over Sri Lanka and England in the ongoing ODI tri-series at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
Pakistan have accumulated 103 rating points, just one behind third-placed South Africa, who have 104 points. India lead the rankings with 115 points, followed by New Zealand in second place with 109.
The latest rise follows Pakistan’s emphatic 87-run victory over England on Tuesday, extending their winning streak in the tournament and boosting their position in the international rankings.
All-rounder Arafat Minhas starred in the match, scoring 59 off 58 deliveries before claiming career-best figures of six wickets for 40 runs to dismantle England’s batting line-up.
Hasan Nawaz top-scored for Pakistan with 79 off 74 balls, while Faheem Ashraf contributed a quickfire 39 off 26 deliveries. Saad Baig also made a valuable contribution with 35 runs as Pakistan recovered from 81-4 to post a competitive total of 302-9.
In reply, England were bowled out for 215, falling 87 runs short of their 303-run target. Tom Banton scored 57, while Ben Duckett contributed 45, but their efforts were insufficient to prevent defeat.
Minhas played a decisive role in England’s collapse, claiming key wickets, including those of Will Jacks and Adil Rashid on successive deliveries. He later ran out Gus Atkinson to complete an outstanding all-round performance and seal Pakistan’s victory.
Pakistan will now look to maintain their winning momentum in the tri-series as they seek further improvements in the ICC ODI rankings.
