Rawalpindi, October 23,2026: Security forces have killed 10 terrorists, including a woman, in separate engagements after Indian-sponsored militants attempted terrorist activities near the Gabd Border Crossing and in Gwadar city, the military’s media wing said on Friday.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the attacks took place on October 22, with the terrorists allegedly seeking to undermine state authority and disrupt development and prosperity in Balochistan.
The statement said security forces launched clearance operations in and around Gwadar city to protect residents and secure the affected areas.
During separate engagements, security forces foiled the militants’ attempts, killing 10 terrorists, including a female attacker, in exchanges of fire, the ISPR said.
One civilian was killed during the attacks, while several vehicles were damaged. The operations concluded without any casualties among security personnel, and order was restored in the affected areas, according to the statement.
The ISPR also alleged that a Baloch woman had been coerced into participating in the attack, describing the alleged exploitation of women for militant activities and propaganda as contrary to Baloch and Islamic traditions.
The statement said the people of Balochistan had consistently rejected violence carried out in their name and expressed confidence that they would reject such tactics as well.
Reaffirming the security forces’ commitment to counterterrorism, the ISPR said the campaign under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam”, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, would continue at full pace.
Security forces and law enforcement agencies remain committed to eliminating foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country, the statement added.
