Islamabad, November 3,2026: The National Assembly Standing Committee on Water Resources has constituted a four-member sub-committee to investigate delays in the completion of Karachi’s K-IV water supply project despite substantial expenditure.
The decision was taken during the committee’s 14th meeting, chaired by MNA Ahmad Atteeq Anwer at Parliament House on Tuesday.
The committee appointed Muhammad Idrees as convener of the sub-committee, tasking it with investigating the non-completion of the K-IV project despite the huge expenditure incurred.

The authorities were further directed to submit a detailed report on the status of the matter and action taken within one week.
The meeting was attended by MNAs Muhammad Idrees, Mian Khan Bugti, Mir Munawar Ali Talpur, Waseem Qadir, Saba Talpur, Zulfiqar Ali Behan and Syed Javed Ali Shah Jillani, with the latter two participating through Zoom.
