First T20- Pakistan secures dominant victory over Zimbabwe

Bulawayo, December 01,2024- Pakistan kicked off their T20 series with a commanding 57-run victory over Zimbabwe in the first match of the three-game series held in Bulawayo.

Winning the toss, Pakistan opted to bat first and posted a competitive total of 165 runs for the loss of four wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Openers Umair Bin Yousuf and Saim Ayub began the innings, but the partnership was short-lived as Umair was dismissed for 16 runs. Saim Ayub followed with a solid 24 before falling at a team total of 57. Usman Khan contributed 39 runs before being dismissed, while captain Salman Ali Agha managed 13 runs. Tayyab Tahir (39*) and Irfan Khan (27*) remained unbeaten, providing a strong finish to the innings.

Chasing the target, Zimbabwe struggled against Pakistan’s bowling attack and were bowled out for 108 runs in 15.3 overs. Abrar Ahmed and Sufiyan Muqeem were the stars with the ball, each claiming three wickets. Haris Rauf took two wickets, while Jahandad Khan picked up one.
