Islamabad, December 6, 2024: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast a cold wave across much of the country from December 8 to 14, with snowfall expected in Murree and other hill areas. A westerly wave is set to affect northern and western regions from December 7, bringing rain, thunderstorms, and snow. Temperatures are expected to drop 4–7°C below normal, particularly in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh. PMD has also advised farmers to consider frost risks and urged citizens to avoid prolonged exposure outdoors. Tourists visiting hilly areas are advised to stay cautious during this period.
