Islamabad, December 13, 2024: A murder case has been registered against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in connection with the killing of Rangers personnel during a PTI protest.
The FIR was lodged at Ramna Police Station, citing triple murder charges against the couple. The report claims the incident was orchestrated on the instructions of the PTI founder, with the plan being devised at Adiala Jail. Witnesses to the alleged plot include inmates, prison workers, and undercover police officials stationed at the jail.
According to the FIR, Bushra Bibi and other accused individuals incited the public through video messages, urging rebellion against the government and military. This incitement reportedly led to the tragic incident.
During the protest, a vehicle driven by an unidentified individual struck three Rangers personnel on duty, resulting in their deaths. The case includes charges of murder, terrorism, and ten other sections of the Pakistan Penal Code, and has been registered at the request of a Sindh Rangers official.
The FIR also names senior PTI leaders, including Ali Amin Gandapur, Umar Ayub, Waqas Akram, Salman Akram Raja, Murad Saeed, Zulfi Bukhari, Rauf Hassan, Hammad Azhar, and others, as co-accused.
It is worth noting that on November 25, during a PTI protest in Islamabad, the fatal incident involving the three Rangers personnel occurred, leading to their martyrdom.
