Washington, D.C. — In a significant diplomatic exchange, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, the newly appointed Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States, held a detailed discussion with Congressman Tom Suozzi, a leading member of the Pakistan Caucus in the U.S. Congress. The talks focused on further strengthening the Pakistan-U.S. relationship and enhancing bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, Congressman Suozzi congratulated Ambassador Sheikh on assuming his new role, emphasizing the importance of strong Pakistan-U.S. ties for both nations and the broader region. “The positive developments between our countries in recent days are very encouraging. We are determined to fully utilize this spirit of goodwill and friendship to advance all-round relations, particularly in the economic sphere,” Ambassador Sheikh stated.

The Pakistani Ambassador expressed his gratitude to Congressman Suozzi for his warm sentiments, particularly in light of Pakistan’s recent Independence Day celebrations. Congressman Suozzi also took the opportunity to commend the Pakistani-American community for its role in bolstering Pakistan-U.S. relations and its contributions to American society.

The conversation concluded with both leaders reaffirming their commitment to strengthening ties between the two countries, enhancing public diplomacy, and revitalizing the Pakistani Caucus within the U.S. Congress.
