United Nations – In a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, UN Secretary-General António Guterres acknowledged China’s important contributions to the organization. Guterres also congratulated President Xi on successfully hosting the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.
The two leaders explored a variety of shared interests, including the preparations for the upcoming Summit of the Future. The Secretary-General emphasized his commitment to enhancing cooperation with China across all areas of the United Nations’ work.
