Lahore, January 7, 2025: The player categories for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 draft have officially been unveiled, with several high-profile international cricketers featuring in the platinum category.
Australia’s left-handed opener David Warner headlines the platinum category, which also includes notable players such as Matthew Short, Sean Abbott, Mark Chapman, Mustafizur Rahman, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, and Shakib Al Hasan.
Other big names in the platinum list are Chris Lynn, Daryl Mitchell, Adam Milne, Tim Southee, Kusal Mendis, David Willey, Usman Khawaja, Zak Crawley, Jason Roy, Michael Bracewell, and Alex Hales.
In total, 40 foreign players are registered in the platinum category, with 6 players exclusively available for selection in this tier. Those who remain unselected in the platinum round will be moved to the diamond and gold categories.
Among the diamond category players is Australia’s wicketkeeper-batter Alex Carey. A total of 87 foreign players are listed in the diamond category, while 165 overseas players are available in the gold category.
The PSL 10 draft is set to take place on January 11. Although Gwadar was initially chosen as the venue, logistical issues have led to a change in location, and the draft will now be held in Lahore. A formal announcement regarding the venue change is expected shortly.
