Islamabad, January 8,2025: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah has accused PTI’s internal members of conspiring against their own party, claiming that Aleema Khan spoke about the political benefits of the PTI founder’s imprisonment and even mentioned the possibility of poisoning him.

During a press conference, Rana Sanaullah criticized PTI for spreading deliberate propaganda, asserting that the PTI founder is receiving all facilities as per jail regulations. He dismissed the false narrative spread on social media, such as claims about shootings at D-Chowk and misleading use of images showing Palestinian ambulance scenes as PTI casualties.

He noted, “PTI is fighting both internally and with state institutions. Their repeated propaganda on social media, including government opposition campaigns, aims to create political instability.”

Rana Sanaullah also discussed the delay in dialogue caused by Ayaz Sadiq’s foreign tour, stating that talks will resume upon his return. He assured that a second meeting between the PTI negotiating team and their founder will be arranged soon.

Regarding negotiations, he said, “We want to proceed smoothly. The Prime Minister has included all coalition partners in the negotiation committee and asked PTI to present their demands in writing. PTI responded that they would do so after the meeting. However, after the meeting, they claimed it was unproductive.”

Rana Sanaullah raised doubts about PTI’s willingness to present written demands, adding, “The way the PTI founder speaks suggests he is unlikely to make straightforward demands. Meanwhile, Ali Amin Gandapur appears to be in contact with various groups.”

He refuted allegations that the 190 million pound case decision is linked to ongoing negotiations, clarifying, “There is no connection between the case and the talks. Our intention was to initiate a national dialogue among political parties.”

Commenting on political alliances, he acknowledged that the PPP is conducting its politics independently, which is its right, but emphasized that all government decisions are taken with the PPP leadership on board.
