Lahore, January 20, 2025: A high-level delegation from the International Cricket Council (ICC) visited Gaddafi Stadium on Monday as part of preparations for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, set to commence next month.

The delegation conducted a thorough inspection of the stadium’s main building, including the offices, pavilion, and other key facilities, to assess the venue’s readiness.

Prominent members of the ICC team included Head of Events Sarah Edgar and General Manager Cricket Wasim Khan, accompanied by officials from the broadcasting and event management teams.

The Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) Director of Infrastructure, Jawad Qazi, provided a detailed briefing to the delegation, assuring that all remaining work at the venue would be completed by January 30.

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will feature eight teams competing in 15 matches across three venues: Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi in Pakistan, and Dubai. The tournament will run from February 19 to March 9.

Preparations at Gaddafi Stadium and other venues are in full swing as Pakistan gears up to host this prestigious event, marking another milestone in its cricketing history.
