Islamabad, January 25, 2025: Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Muhammad Ali Randhawa, inaugurated a state-of-the-art Day Care and Early Childhood Development Centre at Capital Hospital, Islamabad. The facility, developed in collaboration with UNICEF, is dedicated to providing exceptional care for children aged 0 to 3 years.

On the same occasion, the Pediatric Emergency Department at the hospital was also inaugurated. The event was attended by Member Administration CDA, the Executive Director of Capital Hospital, UNICEF representatives, and senior CDA officials.

Chairman Randhawa was briefed on the facility’s live monitoring system, which allows parents to view their children in real-time. This innovative feature, introduced for the first time in Pakistan, is designed to enhance parental peace of mind and set new benchmarks for childcare services in the country.

He highlighted that the initiative represents a major step forward in promoting early childhood development and providing working parents with access to high-quality childcare. “This advancement will not only benefit working parents but also contribute to the overall improvement of healthcare services in the capital,” he stated.

Dr. Muhammad Naeem Taj, Executive Director of Capital Hospital, informed the Chairman that the centre is equipped with facilities to support breastfeeding, offering a comfortable environment for working mothers to nurse their infants. The centre focuses on the physical and emotional well-being of children, aiming to support their healthy development.

Chairman Randhawa expressed gratitude to UNICEF for its collaboration and called for extending such initiatives to other CDA facilities, including headquarters and healthcare centers. “Partnerships like these ensure that we continue to raise the standard of services for both parents and children,” he added.

This initiative underscores CDA’s commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure and ensuring a supportive environment for early childhood development in Islamabad.
