Mumbai, November 15,2024- In a revealing interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Bollywood icon Aamir Khan shared surprising new plans for his career, signaling a fresh phase of creativity and productivity. This announcement comes after the 3 Idiots star previously hinted at retirement following the lackluster performance of Laal Singh Chaddha at the box office.
The 59-year-old actor disclosed his decision to take on six films simultaneously—a first in his career. “I’ve never worked on this many projects at once,” Aamir said. “When I decided not to step away from films just yet, I realized this is likely the last decade of my active working life. I want to make it count.”
Discussing his motivations, Aamir reflected on the fleeting nature of life and his desire to maximize his remaining productive years. “You can’t predict life—we might not see tomorrow. But assuming I have until I’m 70, I want these next 10 years to be my most impactful. Beyond that, I want to support emerging talent—writers, directors, and other creatives. My goal is to create a platform for the next generation before I step back.”
When asked about his former wife Kiran Rao’s comparison to 97-year-old Clint Eastwood, Aamir laughed, saying, “That’s an extreme example. Clint Eastwood is one of the rare individuals in his 90s who still has a sharp mind.”
Aamir’s comeback film, Laapataa Ladies, has already made waves, earning the honor of being India’s official entry for the Oscars 2025. As he embarks on this ambitious chapter of his career, Aamir is not only reigniting his passion for acting but also reaffirming his commitment to nurturing the future of Indian cinema.
With over four decades of experience in the industry, Aamir Khan is determined to leave a lasting legacy, balancing personal milestones with his vision for a more inclusive and innovative film industry.
