Islamabad, September 10, 2024-Pakistan’s national hockey team recorded yet another draw in the ongoing Asian Hockey Champions Trophy, ending their match against South Korea with a 2-2 scorelin. The game, held in China, saw Pakistan squander a two-goal lead.
South Korea struck first in the second quarter, leaving Pakistan trailing by one goal until the fourth quarter. Hanan Shahid’s two quick goals briefly put Pakistan ahead, but South Korea leveled the score before the final whistle.
This marks Pakistan’s second consecutive 2-2 draw, following their previous match against Malaysia. So far, Pakistan has yet to secure a win in this year’s tournament.
Pakistan’s upcoming match is scheduled for Wednesday, where they will face Japan. The eighth edition of the Asian Champions Trophy kicked off on September 8 at the Moqi Hockey Training Base in Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia, China.
