Islamabad, October 14,2024- Chinese Premier Li Qiang expressed his admiration for Pakistan’s hospitality during his visit to the country, stating that he was warmly welcomed as soon as he stepped off the plane.
In a message, Premier Li said he was delighted to visit Pakistan at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and to participate in the 23rd Meeting of the Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
He highlighted Pakistan’s significance as a key developing nation, an emerging market, and a major Muslim country. “Pakistan is China’s all-weather strategic partner and a ‘iron brother’,” the Chinese premier remarked.
Li Qiang added that the Chinese people hold Pakistan in high regard and have appreciated the strong mutual trust and support between the two countries over the past 73 years. He noted that the relationship between China and Pakistan has become an exemplary model for bilateral state relations.
Recalling the meeting between President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in June, Premier Li emphasized that both leaders had laid out plans for building a stronger China-Pakistan community and had provided strategic direction for further cooperation. He further remarked that while China is advancing its path of comprehensive and high-quality development through innovation, Pakistan is equally committed to its reform and development efforts. Li expressed his eagerness for broader and deeper exchanges between the two nations during his visit.
