South Waziristan, December 5, 2024 – Security forces conducted two successful operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, eliminating eight Khawarij, including a high-profile ring leader, and apprehending two others.
The first intelligence-based operation was carried out in the Sararogha area of South Waziristan District, targeting the reported presence of Khawarij. During the operation, security forces successfully traced and neutralized two Khawarij, including Khan Muhammad, alias Khoryay, a key ring leader. Two other Khawarij were captured during the raid.
Khan Muhammad was wanted for numerous terrorist activities, including target killings and extortion in the region. Law enforcement agencies had placed a bounty of PKR 1 million on his capture.
In a separate operation in Lakki Marwat District, security forces engaged in an intense exchange of fire, neutralizing six Khawarij.
Following the operations, security forces initiated area sanitization efforts to ensure the complete elimination of remaining threats. These actions reflect the ongoing commitment of the armed forces to combat terrorism and restore peace in the region.
