Paris- September 6, 2024 – Pakistan’s renowned para-athlete, Haider Ali, secured a bronze medal in the Men’s Discus Throw F37 event at the Paris 2024 Paralympics. Ali achieved his best throw of the season, hurling the discus 52.54 meters on his sixth and final attempt.
The competition was intense, with Ali making an initial throw of 52.28 meters but missing his next four attempts. However, his resilience paid off as he delivered a season-best in his final effort to secure the bronze.
This victory marks Ali’s fourth Paralympic medal, adding to his illustrious career. His previous achievements include a gold at the Tokyo Paralympics, along with bronze medals at the Beijing and Rio Paralympics, and a silver in 2008.
Ali qualified for the Paris 2024 Paralympics after an impressive 51.23-meter throw in the 2022 Asian Para Games, showcasing his consistent excellence in the F37 category.
