Riyadh, December 4, 2024-Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Tuesday during the One Water Summit in Riyadh, where both leaders discussed strengthening economic, trade, and investment ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, according to Express News.
The meeting marked the fifth interaction between the two leaders in six months, a frequency the crown prince hailed as a testament to the deep mutual respect and affection between their nations. “Such frequent interactions reflect the strong bond that unites the people of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia,” he remarked.
During their discussion, the two leaders underscored the importance of further enhancing economic and trade relations. “Strengthening cooperation between our two countries is pivotal for Pakistan’s economic development and prosperity,” said the crown prince.
Both leaders also expressed satisfaction with the progress made on implementing memorandums of understanding (MoUs) and agreements aimed at boosting investment in Pakistan. Prime Minister Shehbaz extended his gratitude to the crown prince for his unwavering support and conveyed his best wishes to the people of Saudi Arabia.
The prime minister invited the crown prince to visit Pakistan, a proposal warmly accepted by Mohammed bin Salman, who expressed enthusiasm about visiting soon.
In addition to bilateral matters, their discussions touched on broader regional and international issues, reaffirming their shared commitment to closer collaboration on various fronts.
