LAHORE—Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi on Saturday dismissed rumors regarding venue availability for the upcoming three-match Test series against England, confirming that all matches will be held in Pakistan. “No Tests will be played outside Pakistan. The venues of Multan and Rawalpindi are finalized,” Naqvi stated during an interaction with journalists while overseeing renovation work at Gaddafi Stadium.
Earlier reports suggested that the schedule for the series next month could be affected due to ongoing construction at several major stadiums in the country.
England coach Brendon McCullum also addressed the uncertainty, stating that the team could not finalize their squad without knowing the confirmed venues. However, Naqvi clarified that the PCB is in close contact with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and assured that “there are no issues” regarding the series. England resumed touring Pakistan in 2022 after a 17-year hiatus due to security concerns.
