Tel Aviv, September 7, 2024-The Times of Israel, an Israeli Newspaper, has identified the founder of PTI, Imran Khan, as the most suitable figure to forge stronger relations between Israel and Pakistan. In its recent article, the newspaper highlights Khan’s connection to the Goldsmith family, particularly through his marriage to Jemima Goldsmith, suggesting that this relationship could significantly influence his stance on Israel. The Times of Israel notes that Khan’s brother-in-law, Zac Goldsmith, has substantial ties with pro-Israel Western circles, which may have contributed to Khan’s increasingly positive view of Israel.
The report also points out Zac Goldsmith’s support for pro-Israel lobbies and his opposition to Pakistani-origin Muslim Sadiq Khan during the London mayoral election, which underscores Khan’s loyalty to the Goldsmith family and its Zionist connections. During PTI’s tenure, a female member of the National Assembly also advocated for the normalization of Pakistan-Israel relations. The Times of Israel article stresses the importance of ensuring that Khan is allowed to re-enter Pakistani politics, acknowledging the challenge this poses in Pakistani society but remaining hopeful about his potential impact.
