Lahore, October 12,2024- The electricity supply to the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has been disconnected due to non-payment of bills. According to sources, PHF has failed to pay over 6.9 million rupees in electricity charges, prompting the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) to take action.
Additionally, the Punjab Hockey Association office faces a similar situation, with its outstanding bill amounting to 500,000 rupees. The electricity to their office has also been cut. Staff at the offices have informed PHF officials about the power disconnection.
It is expected that the dues will be cleared by Monday, once the necessary funds are arranged. PHF officials, who have been lamenting the lack of financial resources, stated that they are working to restore the electricity supply as soon as possible.
