Islamabad, November 11, 2024-The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast that smog will envelop the plains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and most parts of Punjab over the next 24 hours. Dense fog is also expected during the morning and night hours.
According to the PMD, a westerly wave is currently affecting the upper regions of the country and is expected to continue until tomorrow. Mostly dry weather is predicted across Pakistan, while colder conditions are anticipated in hilly areas during the early morning and nighttime. In Gilgit-Baltistan, isolated areas may experience cloudy weather with light rain, wind, thunderstorms, and possible light snowfall over high mountains.
In the past 24 hours, most of the country experienced dry weather, with colder conditions in hilly regions. Rain and thunderstorms were recorded in parts of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Potohar region, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
