Ashgabat, October 11,2024-President Asif Ali Zardari met with Russian President Vladimir Putin, where both leaders emphasized the need to further strengthen bilateral relations. The informal meeting took place during President Zardari’s visit to Turkmenistan at an international forum.
According to a statement released by the President’s office, both presidents highlighted the importance of enhancing the ties between Pakistan and Russia. The statement also noted that the two leaders exchanged warm wishes and pleasantries during their conversation.
Earlier, while addressing the international forum titled “The Interconnection of Time and Civilizations: A Foundation for Peace and Development” held in Ashgabat, President Zardari remarked that Pakistan and Turkmenistan share deep fraternal relations based on mutual respect, shared beliefs, and a common vision for a better and peaceful future.
He also congratulated the government and people of Turkmenistan for organizing the forum aimed at promoting understanding, peace, and dialogue between cultures.
