Tank, March 13, 2025: Security forces successfully foiled a terrorist attack on the Frontier Corps (FC) Fort in Jandola, Tank district, killing 10 terrorists, including three suicide bombers, on Thursday.

According to security sources, a group of heavily armed militants, including suicide bombers, launched an assault on the FC Fort, attempting to breach the facility using an explosives-laden vehicle. Their objective was to free imprisoned militants from the fort’s detention facility. However, security forces swiftly neutralized the attackers, preventing any major damage or prisoner escape.

During the operation, three FC soldiers sustained injuries, but their condition is reported to be stable.

Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi commended the security forces for their swift response, calling their actions a testament to Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to eradicating terrorism.

“Our brave soldiers of the Pakistan Army and FC remain steadfast in their mission to eliminate terrorism from our soil. We will not allow such heinous acts to threaten our national security,” the minister stated.

Reaffirming the government’s resolve, he added, “Pakistan will be made a cradle of peace, and terrorists will never succeed in their nefarious designs.”

The successful repulsion of the attack underscores Pakistan’s ongoing struggle against militancy and highlights the vigilance of its security forces in thwarting extremist threats.
