Islamabad, March 25, 2025: The Pakistani government is investigating reports of a secret visit to Israel last week by a group of journalists and influencers, a trip first disclosed by Israel Hayom.

The revelation has sparked uproar in Pakistan, with some delegation members receiving threats and facing severe criticism, forcing them into hiding. Addressing the media at a weekly press briefing, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Shehryar Ali Khan stated, “We are gathering information, and once we have a clearer picture, we will respond accordingly.”

He further clarified that the government is unaware of who participated in the visit or what type of passports they carried, suggesting that some may have held dual citizenship.

Khan reiterated that Pakistan’s position remains unchanged regarding Israel and Palestine. “Our stance is crystal clear. There is no change in our policy on the recognition of Israel or the Palestinian cause,” he asserted. He also dismissed any official government involvement in the delegation’s visit.

Reports indicate that the Pakistani visitors entered Israel through a third country, and their passports were not stamped, making it difficult for authorities to verify their identities.

Pakistan maintains a strict boycott of Israel, and its passports—including those held by the delegation members—explicitly state they are “valid for all countries of the world except Israel.”

The visit has ignited widespread controversy, both within Pakistan and internationally. Numerous Islamic and global media outlets have reported on the unprecedented trip.

Meanwhile, delegation members who publicly acknowledged their participation have gone into hiding, fearing for their safety. One journalist told Israel Hayom that he had not expected such intense backlash but insisted he was simply doing his job—learning about a place he had never visited and sharing his findings with the public.
