Lahore, April 6, 2025: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a high-profile commentary lineup for the 10th edition of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL), set to begin on April 11, 2025. Among the marquee names joining the broadcast team is former England Test captain Sir Alastair Cook, making his PSL commentary debut.

The celebrated Englishman will be part of a diverse and star-studded commentary panel that also includes renowned broadcaster Mark Nicholas, former England cricketers Dominic Cork and Mark Butcher, South African analysts Jean-Paul Duminy and Mike Haysman, New Zealand’s Martin Guptill, and Bangladesh’s Athar Ali Khan. Former Australian cricketer and two-time ICC Women’s World Cup champion Lisa Sthalekar will also provide expert insights throughout the tournament.

The six-team tournament will be played across four major cities — Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi — culminating with the final at Lahore’s iconic Gaddafi Stadium on May 18, 2025.

Pakistan will be well represented in the commentary box by four former national captains — Aamir Sohail, Waqar Younis, Ramiz Raja, and Wasim Akram — all seasoned broadcasters and legends of the game. Joining them will be Bazid Khan, Urooj Mumtaz, and cricket analyst Sikander Bakht.

In a landmark initiative, the HBL PSL will feature a full match broadcast entirely in Urdu commentary for the first time in its history. The Urdu panel will include Ali Younis, Aqeel Samar, Marina Iqbal, Salman Butt, and Tariq Saeed, with participation from several Pakistan-based commentators during select segments.

PCB CEO Salman Naseer welcomed the global roster of commentators, stating:
“We are thrilled to bring together some of the most iconic names in world cricket for HBL PSL X. Their voices will elevate the viewing experience for our fans and reflect the tournament’s growing international stature.”

Naseer also emphasized the significance of Urdu commentary:
“Introducing a full match broadcast in Urdu is a milestone for the HBL PSL. It deepens our connection with local audiences and ensures that the passion of our fans is matched by the language they love most.”

Tickets for HBL PSL X are available online at pcb.tcs.com.pk, and the complete match schedule can be accessed through the official PCB website.
