Islamabad, April 12, 2025: Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has been re-elected as the Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) for another four-year term, following intra-party elections held at the party’s Central Secretariat in Islamabad.
The elections were held in line with the PPP’s constitution and marked the appointment of key leadership figures for the 2025–2029 term.
Joining Bilawal in the party’s top leadership are Humayun Khan – elected as Secretary General, Nadeem Afzal Chan – chosen as Secretary Information and Aamna Piracha – elected as Secretary Finance.
All office-bearers were elected through the party’s internal electoral process and will serve until 2029.
Bilawal, who first took over the reins of the PPP in 2007 following the tragic assassination of his mother, Benazir Bhutto, has since led the party through multiple general elections and political transitions. His re-election signals continued confidence in his leadership within the party ranks.
This leadership renewal comes as PPP gears up for local body polls and aims to strengthen its role as a major player in Pakistan’s national political landscape.
