Peshawar, April 14, 2025: Two police officers embraced martyrdom while another sustained injuries in separate gun attacks by unidentified assailants in South Waziristan and Lakki Marwat on Monday.

In the first incident, Constable Imran was fatally shot in the Azam Warsak area of South Waziristan as he was returning home from duty. According to police sources, unknown gunmen ambushed him and fled the scene. A search operation was immediately launched to apprehend the culprits.

In a separate incident in the Mir Alam Manjiwala area, within the jurisdiction of the City Police Station in Lakki Marwat, unidentified attackers opened fire on a police patrol. Head Constable Ihsanullah was critically injured and later succumbed to his wounds at the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Sarai Naurang. Constable Rafiullah, who was also injured in the attack, is currently under treatment.

Law enforcement officials responded swiftly to both attacks and have initiated intensive search operations in both regions to trace the perpetrators.

Authorities condemned the attacks and reiterated their commitment to maintaining law and order in the region despite growing security challenges.
