Rawalpindi, November 5,2026: Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir has stressed the importance of sustained training, development of indigenous capabilities and operational preparedness to effectively tackle evolving security threats and emerging challenges.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Munir made these remarks during a visit to the Special Services Group (SSG) headquarters in Tarbela, where he received a briefing on specialised training, operational preparedness and mission-oriented readiness.

During the visit, the Chief of Defence Forces laid a wreath at the martyrs’ monument and paid tribute to the personnel of the Special Services Group who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.

He also witnessed a display of state-of-the-art specialised equipment and a demonstration showcasing the SSG’s combat proficiency, agility and precision in executing special operations.

Interacting with officers and troops, Field Marshal Munir appreciated their professionalism, high morale and unwavering devotion to duty.

He emphasised that sustained training, indigenous capability development and an uncompromising focus on operational preparedness were essential to maintaining an edge over evolving security threats and emerging challenges.

Last month, Field Marshal Munir visited the Corps Headquarters in Peshawar, where he was briefed on the security situation, ongoing counterterrorism operations and border management measures in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
