New York: Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Munir Akram, has stated that the Fitna of Khawarij is being supported by the Afghan interim government. Addressing a United Nations Security Council meeting on the situation in Afghanistan, Munir Akram referred to the Fitna of Khawarij as the largest terrorist organization in Afghanistan, adding that it is conducting terrorist attacks with the support of the Afghan interim government.

He further said that Pakistan will continue to take action against the Fitna of Khawarij at the national level and is ready to cooperate with regional and international organizations to eliminate the threat posed by the TTP (Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan).

Munir Akram called on the Afghan government to fulfill its international obligations and urged the international community not to ignore its objectives in Afghanistan.

Additionally, he expressed deep concern over the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan and the suppression of women’s voices.
