Pakistan Elected as member of the International Atomic Energy Agency Board

Islamabad, September 19,2024-Pakistan has been elected as a member of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

According to a statement issued by the Pakistani Embassy in Austria, Pakistan has been elected to the IAEA Board of Governors for a two-year term starting in September 2024.

The embassy highlighted that this is the 21st time Pakistan has become a member of the Board of Governors, which reflects Pakistan’s longstanding commitment and strong cooperation with the IAEA. The statement further added that this membership is a testament to Pakistan’s active role within the IAEA.
