President Zardari, PM Shehbaz congratulate Pakistan Hockey Team on semi-final victory

Islamabad, June 20, 2025: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday congratulated the Pakistan men’s hockey team on their thrilling victory against France in the semi-final of the FIH Nations Cup.

In their separate messages, both leaders lauded the team’s performance and commended the efforts of the players and the management for bringing honor to the country.

President Zardari said the national team had elevated Pakistan’s image on the global stage and brought immense pride and joy to the nation through their spirited performance. “This victory reflects the hard work and determination of our players,” he added.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also congratulated the entire nation on Pakistan’s qualification for the final, praising the team’s consistent performance throughout the tournament. “The national hockey team has shown exceptional skill and dedication,” he stated.

Both the President and the Prime Minister expressed confidence that the team would carry this momentum into the final and secure another victory for the country.
