Malaysian Prime Minister departs after completing visit to Pakistan

Islamabad – Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim has departed for Malaysia after completing his three-day visit to Pakistan.

According to details, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, among others bid farewell to the Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his delegation at Noor Khan Airbase.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that Pakistan and Malaysia have long-standing brotherly relations that span decades. He expressed agreement with the Malaysian Prime Minister on strengthening Pakistan-Malaysia relations further. He also mentioned that the Malaysian Prime Minister is an admirer of Allama Iqbal, which is a matter of pride for Pakistan.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended heartfelt gratitude for the kind words and well wishes from the Malaysian Prime Minister towards the people and government of Pakistan. He said that positive progress was made in promoting trade between the two countries during the Pakistan-Malaysia Business Forum. Enhancing trade with Malaysia will increase Pakistan’s exports and create new employment opportunities.

The Malaysian Prime Minister’s visit to Pakistan marked the beginning of a new chapter in Pakistan-Malaysia relations. Several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and agreements were exchanged to promote trade and investment between the two countries.

There was also an agreement to increase and simplify the export of processed meat and rice from Pakistan to Malaysia. Both countries agreed to cooperate in the field of information technology and increase the production and trade of electric vehicles.

During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with the Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim at the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad, where a grand welcome was given. Both leaders also participated in the Pakistan-Malaysia Business Forum. The Malaysian Prime Minister was awarded the “Nishan-e-Pakistan” by the President of Pakistan.
