Six soldiers martyred, six TTP terrorists killed in North Waziristan Operation- ISPR

Islamabad, October 5, 2024 – Six soldiers were martyred and an equal number of Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists were killed during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted by security forces in North Waziristan, according to a statement from the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The firefight occurred on the night of October 4/5 in the Spinwam area of North Waziristan. The ISPR statement confirmed that six TTP terrorists, referred to as Khawarij (outcasts), were neutralized by security forces.

Among the martyred soldiers was Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Ali Shoukat, who was leading the operation. The other brave soldiers who laid down their lives were identified as Lance Naik Muhammad Ullah, Lance Naik Akhtar Zaman, Lance Naik Shahid Ullah, Lance Naik Yusaf Ali, and Sepoy Jameel Ahmed.

In a separate statement, ISPR reported the killing of two additional terrorists, including ringleader Attaullah, also known as Mehran, in a joint intelligence-based operation in the Charbagh area of Swat. Attaullah had been involved in several terrorist acts, including a recent attack on a police convoy escorting foreign dignitaries in Swat on September 22, 2024.
