Tehran, August 24, 2025: Iranian security forces have killed six militants allegedly linked to Israel during a clash in the country’s southeast, state news agency IRNA reported on Saturday.

The operation took place in Sistan and Baluchestan province, a day after armed rebels killed five police officers in the restive region.

“One of the major terrorist plots in the eastern part of the country has been neutralised and the terrorist team responsible for it has been completely destroyed,” the provincial intelligence department said in a statement carried by IRNA.

The agency did not provide further details on the identity of the militants or evidence of their alleged connection to Israel.
