Rawalpindi, September 8, 2025: Major General Humaid Mohammed Abdullah Alremeithi, Commander of the UAE Naval Forces, met with Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force (PAF), at Air Headquarters, Islamabad, to discuss evolving regional security dynamics and explore new avenues for bilateral defence cooperation.

Air Chief Marshal Sidhu shared his vision of transforming the PAF into a modern, agile, and technology-driven force through advanced programs in cyber, space, artificial intelligence, electronic warfare, and aerospace domains. He underscored Pakistan’s historic and religious ties with the UAE, reaffirming Islamabad’s commitment to strengthening military-to-military cooperation, particularly in joint training and operational exercises.

The UAE commander thanked the PAF for its hospitality and praised Pakistan’s indigenization drive, describing the Air Force as operationally prepared and technologically advanced. He expressed keen interest in benefiting from PAF’s combat-proven doctrine and rich operational experience in multi-domain warfare.

Major General Alremeithi further conveyed the UAE’s interest in conducting joint exercises and expanding training initiatives with the PAF, terming them vital for enhancing interoperability, operational synergy, and mutual learning.

The meeting reflected the commitment of both nations’ armed forces to work together in addressing common regional challenges and to further consolidate their longstanding defence partnership.
