Asia Cup 2025: Organisers slash India-Pakistan ticket prices amid sluggish sales

Dubai, September 11, 2025: Tickets for the much-anticipated India-Pakistan showdown at the T20 Asia Cup 2025 have been slashed in price after sluggish sales surprised organisers ahead of Sunday’s clash at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Standard tickets, initially priced at 475 dirhams, are now available for 350 dirhams following widespread fan complaints over high costs. Premium enclosures have seen the slowest sales, with large sections still unsold less than a week before the marquee encounter.

Organisers admitted surprise at the muted demand for a fixture that is typically one of the most-watched sporting events globally.

On the field, India head into the contest with momentum after thrashing the UAE by nine wickets in their opening match, bundling out the hosts for just 57 before chasing the target in 4.3 overs. Pakistan will begin their campaign on Friday against Oman at the same venue before locking horns with their arch-rivals.

India and Pakistan have met 13 times in T20 internationals, with India holding the upper hand with 10 victories compared to Pakistan’s three. Their latest encounter came during the ICC Champions Trophy in Dubai on February 23, when India secured a six-wicket win.
