IHC seeks complete record of cases against Imran Khan

Islamabad, September 11, 2025: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday directed the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), and the police to provide complete details of all cases registered against former prime minister Imran Khan.

The directive came during the hearing of Khan’s petition seeking to halt ongoing actions by the accountability watchdog, the FIA, and police authorities. Justice Muhammad Azam Khan presided over the proceedings, which were attended by Khan’s legal team, family members, and NAB officials.

Khan’s counsel requested the formation of a larger bench to hear the case, but NAB officials opposed the move, arguing that the petition lacked sufficient grounds. After considering arguments from both sides, the court proceeded with the matter.

NAB’s special prosecutor told the court that additional time was required to compile details of the cases. Khan’s lawyer requested a seven-day timeline for all parties to prepare and submit records, which the court approved.

Directing authorities to ensure clarity and transparency, the IHC ordered NAB, FIA, and police to submit a comprehensive record of all cases filed against the PTI chairman. The court stressed that the information would help determine the scope and legality of the multiple investigations.

Khan’s petition argues that parallel inquiries are exerting “undue pressure” and disrupting his political and personal life. Political observers are closely watching the case, given Khan’s central role in Pakistan’s politics. The submission of case details is expected to provide the court with a clearer picture before it proceeds further.
