Multan: Pakistan staged a remarkable comeback in the second Test, defeating England by 152 runs to level the series 1-1. The star of the match was left-arm spinner Noman Ali, who took a stunning 8 wickets for 46 runs, dismantling England’s batting lineup on a turning pitch. Along with Sajid Khan, who claimed 2 wickets, the duo achieved the rare feat of taking all 20 wickets in the match.

Chasing 297 to win, England was bowled out for just 144, with their captain Ben Stokes falling in a bizarre dismissal, stumped by Mohammad Rizwan after his bat slipped from his hands mid-shot. Stokes’ dismissal epitomized England’s struggles as they collapsed under pressure, unable to counter Pakistan’s relentless spin attack. Earlier, Salman Ali Agha’s crucial innings had helped Pakistan set a challenging total in the third innings, putting England on the back foot. The win marked Pakistan’s first Test victory on home soil since February 2021, ending a six-match losing streak and setting up a thrilling decider in Rawalpindi next week.
